In this 19th-century supernatural winter epic, a drunken applejack salesman must go from zero to hero and become the greatest fur trapper in North America by defeating hundreds of beavers. Director Mike Cheslik estimated that the mascot costumes cost around $10,000, and the crew purchased all of the costumes online.

Jean Kayak and her Acme Applejack Written and produced by Wayne Tews Designed and co-produced by Karl Landwehr. Before seeing the film at the Hamburg Fantasy Filmfest, I wondered how an hour and a half of playing time could be filled with the ideas in the trailer without becoming slow or tedious.
I highly recommend watching it
While it offers a consistent, clever, pared-down, and extremely effective visual style, the presentation doesn’t let your focus slip for a second, otherwise you might miss something funny. The way it symbolizes, repeats, and develops events through clever iteration in a limited universe is excellent!
